Locals Day 2025

Thank you!

That’s the main thing we want to say.

This past weekend, we saw generosity, positivity, and the Rotorua community at its finest during our annual ZORB Locals Day. With your help, and in collaboration with the Salvation Army, we collected an incredible 2,147 cans of food to support local families in need this holiday season.

A Day Full of Energy and Laughter

There was a distinct buzz in the air on Locals Day. We welcomed over 200 local residents throughout the day, alongside a few out-of-town visitors who joined in on the fun too.

At times, it was hard to hear over the laughter and excitement (and you won’t catch us complaining!). The ZORB team loved seeing everyone out and about, soaking up the atmosphere and making the most of the day. It also felt like the perfect chance to stretch our legs after winter and gear up for the summer months ahead.

Turning Fun Into Real Impact

On Monday, the Salvation Army of New Zealand stopped by to collect all the donated goods, which were taken to their Pukuatua Street location for sorting and distribution. Their team shared their appreciation for the generosity shown by our local community.

Thanks to your donations, hundreds of families will be able to put food on their tables over the holiday season, a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together.

Looking Ahead

We’d also like to give a big shout-out to our ZORB crew, who kept everything running smoothly throughout the day. And of course, thank you again to everyone who came along, donated, laughed, and rolled with us.

We can’t wait to do it all again next year, so maybe start collecting those cans now. We’ve got big plans and even bigger ambitions for Locals Day 2026!
