Ride Restrictions
The rides at ZORB are potentially hazardous activities which should only be attempted by physically fit people who are within our rider limits.
The rides at ZORB are not suitable to be ridden by persons with any form of health or medical conditions that could be made worse by the risks associated with acceleration, side to side motion, sliding and jumping. It is up to you to discuss any special requirements that you may have, our team are here to help you.
If you are:
- Pregnant
- Under 5 years of age
- Over the weight limit of 135kg for an individual
- Under the influence of drugs or alcohol
We are sorry, we cannot let you ride.
However, if you have any of the following conditions you may still be allowed to ride with some restrictions:
- Previous dislocations
- High Blood Pressure
- Heart Condition
- Epilepsy
- Back, neck or previous head injuries
- Lack of full body mobility or any other mental/physical condition
- Recent surgeries, open wounds & skin conditions
- All Riders must be 5 years of age and over.
- Maximum weight per person is 135KG or 297lb

ZORB is Worksafe and Adventure Activity Safety audit certified. ZORB has been a certified adventure operator since the register began in November 2014 as the first ball rolling operator to be registered. It’s ethically and legally mandatory that responsible adventure tourism operators have robust safety systems in place. It is our guarantee that we will keep leading the ball rolling industry in customer care and safety.

Qualworx
Qualworx is NZ’s national outdoor safety audit programme designed by the New Zealand outdoors community for the New Zealand outdoors community. One of Qualworx’s fundamental objectives is to give participants in adventure activities, and the public, theassurance that the management of the activities has been checked by an independent expert – an Qualworx auditor. If the operation is assessed by the auditor as being at, or above, the benchmark standards of the Qualworx certification scheme, Skills Active grants Qualworx certification.

Risk Disclosure Form
Prior to, or upon arrival at ZORB Rotorua, Participants will be asked to thoroughly read and then sign a Risk Disclosure Form that outlines the Risks Associated with participating in ZORB Rotorua. Unless the Risk Disclosure Form is duly completed and signed, Participants will not be permitted to participate in the ZORB experience.
