    Winter @ ZORB

Winter Fun for the whole family ….

We get it, sometimes you just don’t want to get wet, you’re worried about the cold or you think that you’ll just hang back and let the kids have all the fun.

This winter we challenge you to have an adventure, ignite your inner child and give it a go.

During winter the days can be sunny, crisp and cold in Rotorua. You may get out of your ride at the bottom of the hill and find yourself steaming! It’s only a short walk to the three hot tubs or sauna that you can relax  in before you head back up the hill for another ride (because once is never enough!). While we recommend swimwear, you’re also able to wear shorts and/or t shirt and a swim cap if you want to cover up. All changing rooms have heaters and hairdryers for before and after.

The ride itself puts you all on the same level, everyone dives into the ball, hot water is added and you’re cocooned inside your own bubble. As you slide down the hill in your ride, you really just have to lie back, relax and let it take you where it will. Arms and legs will be mixed up, you’ll go sideways, forwards, backwards and really have no idea if the ride has finished or not. Most adults come out at the bottom of the hill as the biggest advocates, having not laughed so hard in years and the kids are are delighted that the grown ups in their family have joined in too.

Outdoor heating keeps all spectators in the group warm, barista coffee & hot chocolates are a must while watching.

Wanna know more about ZORB ROTORUA – Check us out here www.zorb.com

ZORB is an adventure activity in which 1, 2 or 3 people are stuffed into a large transparent inflatable ball which is then pushed down a hill, water is then added (cool in the summer and warm in the winter) to create a crazy slide of slippery, screaming goodness.

Invented by the owners of ZORB, Rotorua remains the only location in New Zealand to experience this iconic activity we offer the longest and craziest rides in the world! With four different tracks , ZORB Rotorua offers a range of experiences for your bi-spherical enjoyment:

Straight Track – 250m: Race your mum, your mates or your arch-enemy down the 250m long straight tracks for maximum speed and bragging rights (loser buys lunch).

Sidewinder Track- 350m: 6 massive corners combined with the longest zig -zag track in the land to blow your mind like a cross between a roller-coaster and a waterfall.

MEGA Track – 300m: The fastest, longest, steepest and craziest downhill ball rolling track in the WORLD has arrived at ZORB!

Pipeline Track – 320m: The Pipeline starts out with a wiggle and a weave and then takes you whizzing through an arboreal tunnel only to finish off with a sweeping halfpipe at the bottom!

Small acts make a big difference in our community. Did you know that we have picked up rubbish every day along SH5 for the last 14 years as part of our opening procedures? Every little bit counts and as you can see we take it very seriously. We also love a mana wave so if you see us cleaning up the road outside ZORB Rotorua in the morning, make sure you beep out!

We recently did some leadership training with @yellowumbrellanz and what we found is there's no one combination of strengths that makes a great leader, it's how you use them. What are your top 5 strengths?

Due to an injury and a technicality we have the intense rematch / finals between Selwyn Sizzler and Ginger Ninja… with our ZORBLYMPICS Gold medalist for 2024 going to the one, the only, the always lonely… GINGER NINJA 🥷🏽 thank you for watching this years ZORBLYMPICS, we’ll see you next year 🫡
The 2nd heat of 2024’s ZORBLYMPICS! A close one despite Hemana Hustler using a cheeky (possibly against the rules?) technique 👀 … The first down the hill was… Coconut Thunder ⛈️ but did he thunder to hard? 🫣
The opening race of ZORBLYMPICS 2024 didn’t go how Ginger Ninja thought it would… despite the false start 👀 … Our first winner is SELWYN SIZZLER 🌭
Well well well, who do we have here? Is that the Ginga Ninja 🥷 coming back to detend his title and show the others who the real OG is? The 4th and final athlete in the ZORBlympics checking in. So who is your money on?
ZORBlympics athlete #3, coming in hot...once he figured out what a bio was and remembered what his name was. Lucky we came up with a better name for him, introducing the Selwyn Sizzler. Do you think he talks a big game?
The second athlete who is joining us for this year's ZORBlympics.. 🥁drum roll🥁... none other than the Hemana Hustler. Who has their money on the big dawg himself?

DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS ICONIC KIWI INVENTION, WHERE IT ALL BEGAN!
