Us Kiwis are known to be an inventive bunch, check out this list we put together of Kiwi inventions that are just as quirky as our ZORB ball, here.
Andrew and Dave aren’t just the inventors of downhill ball rolling they have also come up with a range of other quirky inventions and activities! Read on to check them out, we think some are pretty cool!
1. DRYGO
The advantage of having the factory on site is being able to test out new and crazy id
eas! The DRYGO is no exception!
Invented for those who wanted the thrill of a water ride but didn’t necessarily want to get wet. The DRYGO is a mini ZORB inside a ZORB that is sealed up with a double zip door. Water is then added in between the layers to help the inner ball simulate a wet ride. On the inside you can hear and see the water, but you don’t get wet! The best thing about the DRYGO is there is no tumbling involved!
A great option for those cooler winter months and ensures your hair and makeup stays intact!
2. TOWGO
The first and only one of its kind in the world is the TOWGO. Designed by Dave the TOWGO was created to easily transfer the OGO balls to the top of the hill.
Before the TOWGO we were transporting the ZORB ball’s to the top of the hill with our truck and trailer system. The introduction of the TOWGO has decreased our fuel consumption and wear and tear on the vehicles and ZORB ball’s. Which has also had a positive environmental impact! The TOWGO consists of six metal posts (rugby goal post like) with cables and cross bars to hold the ZORB ball in place while transporting them to the top of the hill. It delivers a ZORB ball to the top of the hill every 50 seconds, which means less wait times and more time for ball rolling goodness!
3. Fishpipe
Another world first from Andrew and Dave is the Fishpipe. Invented in 200
9 The Fishpipe is the world’s first rotating barrel ride. The Fishpipe is a rugby ball shaped inflatable ball that sits on mechanical arms and rotates at 45rpm. Try and stay on your feet or just relax and let the ball slide around you!
We make the Fishpipe barrels right here in our factory in Rotorua however we get the frames and electrical components made in the USA. The Fishpipe is the perfect addition to water parks or amusement parks and is now exported to various locations around the world including, Germany, Hawaii, USA and Sydney.

4. Sorry Spin!
Not only are Andrew and Dave masters in ball rolling they also had a stint at de
veloping and designing board games before opening OGO Rotorua! Which we think is pretty cool! You may be aware of the popular Hasbro game Sorry! Andrew and Dave invented a new an d improved version that was picked up and sold by Hasbro. Andrew and Dave added rotating game discs and plastic cogs to add another element to the game of sweet revenge! You may still be able to pick up a copy off Amazon here, although be quick as it looks like they only have a couple left in stock! If you ask nicely Andrew and Dave might even be able to sign it for you!
